Our Organization's History
The Appalachian Pet Pantry was formed in 2023 by President and COO Tara Whitt Ritchie and CEO Dustin Stanley. It was formed after the flood of July 22 when people came forward asking for help feeding their pets.
The Mission of the Appalachian Pet Pantry is to assist owners by supplementing their pet food and supplies and spay neuter services in an effort to keep pets healthy, happy and at home.
Our vision is to help slow the number of owner surrenders to shelters due to inability to financially support them.
We believe that a persons wallet size does not equal their ability to love.
